Israel has struck a number of targets in Gaza, killing at least three people and injuring dozens more, after vowing a severe response to rocket attacks on its soil. The attacks come as efforts to end five days of fighting between rivals Hamas and Fatah - that have left up to 40 people dead - faltered again.A college and a secondary school were also hit, causing shock and distress but no reported injuries.
